New Aircraft
Looks like the weather has set in for very few
flying days until spring. Some of us may be
brave and try a few cold days to fly . This is
the building season. There's a lot of new
planes going to hit the sky this spring. I know
there will be a F-18 Jet, Fly-Cat Jet, Hurry
Home Honey P51,Piper Cub,Cessna 310,Miss America
P51 and what ever Santa brings some of us if we
have been good. See you at he field. Take Care

Ultra Sport Missing
Do we have a bermuda triangle at our field? On a
very hot day in july o7 the RED Ultra Sport
became a victim of great mystery. The mishap
happened when I lost radio contact and the last
we saw was the plane hit the trees and bushes.
At the time Larry Smith and myself walked over
to try and locate it. We did not look long
because of the intense heat "ABOUT 100 f. it
felt like. Since this time I have looked several
hours and others have also tried to locate it.
We decided to wait until the crops were
harvested and the leaves fallen from the brush
and trees. I think someone had to find this
plane . The bright red covering could not tust
disappear.THERE IS NO SIGN ANYWHERE OF
WRECKAGE! To me this is one of the mysteries
that will never be solved. Oh by the way every
one have a merry christmas and HAPPY NEW
YEAR! JWB

Pilot Loss
I'm sad to report that our beloved friend and
member Skipper Jones has passed away. Skipper
is one of the three founders responsible for
establishing the Fairgrounds Flyers. We all
have our great memories of Skipper to cherish
and will keep his family in our prayers durring
this difficult time.
